Replacing 12" Rear Wheel - Deluxe Models
How to Replace a 12" Rear Wheels on the EZ Lite Cruiser Deluxe Models (SX12, DX12, WX12)
Besides the hardware provided, this project will require a heat gun, a pair of gloves, a hex tool, and RED heavy duty threadlocker (not shown.)
Lock the rear wheel with the red lever on the motor, and prop it up off the ground.
Using the heat gun, heat the area around the bolts up to about 450 degrees Fahrenheit. This will take about 5-8 minutes on HIGH with the heat gun.
Be careful, as the wheel will be hot to the touch, so put the gloves on for safety.
Using the hex tool, you can now safely begin to unscrew the bolts that hold the wheel to the motor.
Remove all 4 bolts.
Pull the wheel off the motor.
Clean the motor housing and rotor.
Put the new wheel in place.
Put threadlocker on the bolts that will fasten the wheel to the motor, and then begin by inserting each to the matching holes where the previous set of bolts were attached. Do this for each bolt, and tighten the bolts down as you do it.
Make sure all bolts are fully tightened, and let the threadlocker glue settle, for about 30-45 minutes, before using the chair.
