Replace Bearing in Front Wheel Fork (Standard)
How to Replace the Bearings in the Front Wheel Fork on the EZ Lite Cruiser Standard Model
With the battery removed, tip the chair on its back support.
Using a hex wrench, unscrew the bolt that runs through the wheel.
Remove the wheel from the fork.
Remove the cap on the frame to expose the stem bolt nut.
Using two socket wrenches, unscrew the nut from the stem bolt.
Push the stem bolt out from the bottom and remove the fork.
Remove the bottom bearing.
Remove the bushing.
Remove the top bearing.
Now work backwards with the new parts.
Place the bearing in to the top.
Place the bushing in place.
Place the bearing in to the bottom.
Insert the stem bolt through the fork.
Place the spindle washer on top of the fork.
Insert the fork through the bearings and bushing in the frame.
Screw the nut in to the stem bolt.
Using two socket wrenches, fasten the nut to the stem bolt. Be sure to do it to the proper torque that will allow the wheel to rotate 360 degrees.
Place the cap on to the frame to cover the stem bolt.
Insert the wheel into the fork.
Run the bolt through the fork and the wheel-well.
Using a hex wrench, tighten the bolt into the nut on the other side of the fork. Be sure to do it to the proper torque that will allow the wheel to rotate freely.
